This week's topic was the war between U.S.A and drugs. More deeply, the video says that the U.S.A lost the war on drugs.

The U.S.A struggled for a long time to defense against drugs that spread all across the American continent. Many presidents made efforts on it and some even declared war officially on TV.

But, these days, the drug rate is kept on the rise and almost reached the percentage that when the war on the drug had been started.

Currently, some kinds of drugs like marijuana even became legal in many states of the U.S.A. And this trend is expected to remain since the president of the U.S.A is Biden who's from the democratic side that represents the progressive side.

About the war that the government of the U.S.A has been conducted, I'm very skeptical about the solutions and manual they used.

Since the U.S.A is the nation that follows Anglo-American law originated from the United Kingdom, the tendency of dealing with criminals and illegal is punishing hardly following judicial precedents.

Since the U.S.A has the tradition of rigid penalties, they used their tradition on the war between drugs too.

In my opinion, this leads to their failure. It's like not solving the root problem and just taking care of the leaf problems and showing people that their government is doing something to solve the problem.

When we're eradicating the bugs in the house, we should take care of the holes that are connected to the outside like the sewer. And also empty the trash baskets rather than just using spray and fly swatter.

I think that to solve the drug problem of the U.S.A, their government first has to look for the reason why people are addicted to the drugs.

Poverty, circumstances, and a low level of education may lead to drug addiction if I pick three.

Therefore, I likely to suggest the U.S.A government take care of them.

Furthermore, I suppose that legalizing marijuana may extend the circumstance problem since it may cause people to access and think more easily about the drug just like what hippies did some decades ago.

Netherland did the similar policies before but it is now revealed as a failure and they are trying to illegalizing back.

Thanks.
