The human species are having a war with nature. The video mainly focuses on the crisis that is happening on the west side of the U.S.A. The western side of the U.S.A is suffering a severe drought for consecutive years. Therefore, most of the businesses that use water are suffering many troubles dealing with it. Especially the agricultural businesses. Since the total amount of water is keep going down in this situation, people are dealing with the problem in three big ways. One is just saving water, the second is obtaining the right to use water by having the lawsuits, and the last method is to use new technologies. 

In my opinion, all those three ways matter since all of them practically help businesses to get water and operate their businesses. However, the environmental problem is not a problem that will be solved in recent years. I believe that it will last for a long time, maybe over the decades. Because of that, I insist on developing and using new technologies to deal with the environmental crisis including the severe drought is the best way to ease the situation. For example, Israel is working well with a similar situation even though they are having a war with others and their territory is surrounded by deserts. Since the video is about the drought, I will focus on that particular part. I suggest three technologies that will help our agricultural businesses that face adversities. Underground water storage, a smart farm that operated automatically inside the buildings, and technology that controls the climate. 

The first technology I suggest is the water storing technology underneath the surface. Some countries are doing this currently. For example, as mentioned in the video, Israel is doing this. Since the problem is drought and the rising temperature, the evaporation of the water is a crucial problem. If the water is on the surface and be exposed to the sunlight, it will evaporate more fastly and the water will be disappeared rapidly. Currently, Korea is not the country that running out of water. But, when we look at the case of the U.S.A, we should invest some of our resources for the research of such technology. 

The second technology I recommend is the smart farm operated without or rare human resources. According to the video, it is mentioned that the fee for the employees are too low that employees don't consider the farming industry as their regular job. They rather think irregularly. Since the salary for their work is 13$ for an hour, it might be considered low since farming is quite tough work. Biden, the president of the U.S.A, said that he will increase the wage to 15$ for an hour but it still seems low due to expected and preceding inflation. Therefore, it is evident that the farming industry will suffer from a lack of high-skilled workers. It is quite similar in South Korea too. The rural society which mainly takes the burden of farming is kept getting old. The average age of the rural society kept going up since the urban society is flourishing. Therefore, it is apparent that we should prepare for non-human labor farming to deal with the situation. If the climate disaster keeps going on, people will be reluctant to work on farming, and it will cause a severe lack of labor. 

The last technology I consider is climate change technology. It seems clear that climate-changing is useful when we take a look at the 2008 Beijing summer Olympics. Beijing is notorious for its bad atmosphere but they solved it by artificial raining technology for some weeks. Of course, it is temporary. But, it is almost 13 years ago and the technology is advanced much. We can now use much variety of methods like drones and upgraded radar. When I see the current weather control technology of China, I see an enormous possibility of useful methods. 

Consequently, I believe that technology is the essential way to solve the current situation. Since the human population is kept increase rapidly. And I think our desire for prosperity will never be stopped. I think this can be some kind of Malthus trap. Like we solved the greatest resource crisis by artificial fertilizer by Haber, I believe that we can deal with this deadly circumstance by the advance of our technologies.
